Surge Brake Actuator systems work by the "surge" or "push" of the trailer toward the tow vehicle during deceleration which automatically synchronizes the trailer brakes with the tow vehicle brakes. As the trailer pushes against the vehicle, the actuator telescopes together and applies force to its master cylinder, supplying hydraulic pressure to the trailer brakes.

A second axle brake gives you increased stopping power for those unforeseen emergences of everyday towing. It will also wear the front and rear tires evenly compared to having a single axle brake.

A Slipper Spring is leaf spring that feature an eye formed at the front end and a curved surface on the rear end. The rear end of the spring bears upward against a wear resistant surface in the equalizer and/or rear hanger. It is normally seen on our heavier trailers. Slipper springs have less bushings and fewer parts to maintain. It is the perfect choice for a trailer that will be used every day with large loads.

On a Torsion Axle, the wheel/hub spindle is attached to a lever, called the torsion arm, which is fastened to the rubber encased bar. As load is applied, the bar rotates causing a rolling/compressive resistance in the rubber bushings. This action provides the same functions as conventional spring axle with several operating advantages including independent suspension.

6 Way - Round Pin Plug are available allowing the basic hookup of the three lighting functions (running, turn, and brake) the ground and two extra pins are available to provide two additional functions, typically for electric brakes and 12 volt "hot" lead. The 6-way round connectors are very common on horse trailers. The 6-way square connectors are more common on campers. These connectors are not typically used on Utility Trailers.

A 7 Way - Round Pin Plug is rare. The RV style 7-way with flat pins (or blades) is very common. It is often found on newer trucks and suvs that come equipped from the factory with a trailer hitch.
